Podiatry

If you need advice regarding a foot problem and are not currently a patient with the department there are two ways to access the Podiatry Department.

  • You may choose to attend the Walk In Clinic at Port Talbot Resource Centre. Please ensure that you take a list of your current medication(s) with you. Opening hours are: Monday-Friday 8.45am-11.30am and 1.10pm-3.30pm.
  • Contact Podiatry Direct on 0300 300 0024 Monday to Friday 8.50am - 4.30pm (except Bank Holiday).

When you contact Podiatry Direct you will speak to a Health Professions Council Registered Podiatrist employed by ABMU Health Board. The telephone call will take between 5 and 20 minutes. You will be asked a number of questions such as your foot problem, the medicines you are taking and any medical problems you may have. The Podiatrist will discuss with you the best way to manage your foot problem and will offer either advice over the telephone or offer an appointment at a podiatry clinic.
